Plot synopsis[]

"When Jin Chen is targeted by an unknown organisation due to his ancestry, Jin must seek aid from the Assassins and relive the memories of his ancestor who is the key to answering their questions."

Plot[]

Issue 1[]

The issue begins with Jin Chen narrating his life, revealing that he was born in China and moved to the United States with his mother to get away from his dangerous father. Jin also reveals that when he was 8, his mother committed suicide and found her body although he doesn't believe she truly did so but he can't prove it. He recounts on how his life took a downward spiral after that as he moved from foster home to foster home, and then in and out of juvie when he started selling drugs and commiting theft. Jin jokes that he became a "model citizen".

Now in the present, Jin is caught in possession of drugs while driving under the influence, for this he is immediately taken to a holding cell where he spends the next day there.

During the night, Jin is woken up to the sounds of screaming and loud gunfire. Panicked at the situation, he demands to be let out by a guard but is denied and told to stay back. Eventually, the source of the gunfire make their way to where Jin is being held and kill the guard watching over him. Jin is finally able to get a good look at the group that massacred the prison, led by a blonde woman and a hulking man.

The blonde woman proceeds to pull out a pistol and points it directly at Jin who pleads for her not to do so. Thankfully, they are stopped with the intervention of an Abstergo team. In the chaos, two members of the Abstergo team extract Jin from his cell while the others repel the assailants. Jin is led outside and about to be taken away in a transport but the two agents are killed by two hooded figures, a male and female, who quickly grab Jin and throw him in a van.

Confused at what just occured, Jin tries to fight off the hooded figures but is easily subdued by the man. He continues to struggle but the hooded woman only agrees to release him once he's calmed down, assuring him they aren't there to hurt him. Jin calms down and is eventually released by the man. The man and woman take their hoods down and introduce themselves as Gina Garcia and Roberto Garcia, revealing themselves to be members of the Assassin Brotherhood and the nature of their work. Still confused, Jin demands to know who those other people that tried to kill him were and why Abstergo was involved.

Roberto explains that a few days prior he became a target when Abstergo had traced an Assassin named Arthur Kavanagh's bloodline to Jin. Gina then adds that this is due to his Assassin ancestry and that Abstergo is a front for the Templar Order, their sworn enemies, Jin expresses his lingering confusion. Gina then reveals that the group that tried to kill him did not belong to either the Assassins nor Templars, and have been causing problems for both groups for around a year now. A mole within Abstergo alerted the Assassins of their discovery regarding Jin's lineage and how it links to the group that tried to kill him.

Jin deduces that the reason he was taken by the Assassins is because they need him to relive his ancestor's memories and figure out why his life is in danger, Roberto confirms this. Gina explains that once they reach their hideout, she will introduce him to the rest of the team and their animus. Realising that he is safest with the Assassins, Jin doesn't argue or resist what's about to come next.

Some time later, the group arrive at a hideout in Jersey City. Jin and the others exit the back of the van and he meets the driver, Samantha Maguire, introducing herself as a techie and not a field agent like Gina and Robbie. Jin and the Assassins enter the hideout and immediately Sam brings out a black briefcase with neon blue lights, unpacking it she reveals its an Animus. Calling it the Animus HR-9, Sam expresses pride in her Animus before informing Jin that they can get started whenever he's ready. Not one to waste time, Jin immediately enters the Animus.

Issue 2[]

Jin is placed into the virtual body of his ancestor Arthur Kavanagh in Hampshire, England, 1581. Jin internally expresses surprise at the fact his ancestor is a white Irishman. Arthur is hunting a target, the Templar Henry Wriothesley in the All Saints Church. The Assassin has stalked his target all the way down to a temple located beneath the Church, hiding in the shadows and perched high above, he waits for his opportunity to strike and watches Wriothesley and his guards. Wriothesley recovers a Piece of Eden appearing as a shield, upon seeing this Arthur assassinates Wriothesley from above and kills his guards.

Arthur gives Wriothesley his final rights who condemns the Assassin for meddling in matters he doesn't understand, while Arthur argues that he'll do whatever it takes to keep the Pieces of Eden out of Templar hands. Wriothesley remarks that this is bigger than the Assassins and Templars before finally dying. Arthur makes his way over to the shield, picking it up and examining it before his attention is drawn to another group that make their presence known.

The group demands that Arthur hand over the shield, refusing the Assassin refers to the group as Templars but they correct him, stating they are not affiliated with the Templars. Arthur asks what they want with the Piece of Eden but the leader of the group refuses to answer, threatening to kill him if he has to ask for the shield again. The Assassin remains committed to not handing over the shield and engages in a skirmish, killing all but one. Arthur briefly fights the leader but is handily defeated when he is thrown from the temple. Arthur is forced to flee, leaving the shield behind and he navigates his way through the underground caves of the All Saints Church to escape.

Returning to London a day later, Arthur makes his way to the Assassin hideout and informs the Mentor, William Abbot of what transpired in Hampshire. Curious about the group that attacked him, William assigns Arthur to investigate this group further. Following this meeting, another Assassin named Aleria arrives who is quickly revealed to be Arthur's lover when the two greet each other with a kiss. Having returned from her own mission assassinating Hubert Languet in France.

The two are then seen on the roof of the Abbey where Arthur reveals to her of the group he encountered in the All Saints Church. Aleria expresses her interest in investigating this group however Arthur declines, feeling guilt that he lost the Piece of Eden and stating its his responsiblity to recover it. Aleria acknowledges this and respects his wishes, offering her help whenever he needs it. She then flashes Arthur with a sultry look indicating for him to follow her before performing a Leap of Faith off of the rooftop of the Abbey. Following suit, Arthur also performs a Leap of Faith.

Issue 3[]

The comic continues in the midst of Arthur's Leap of Faith where Jin is suddenly violently desynchronized. Coming out of the simulation, Jin violently throws up as his subconscious rejects the simulation, unable to differentiate between Jin and Arthur causing Jin to enter fight or flight mode in the midst of experiencing a Leap of Faith. Sam reassures him that he is fine and that the simulation wasn't real, it was just replaying Arthur's memories. Jin, still in shock, expresses how different that felt compared to a Helix game. Despite this, Sam compliments Jin on his natural affinity for the Animus and for going as long as he did as most do not take so well to entering the Animus their first time.

Gina asks Jin would like to take a break or continue going. Having regained his bearings, Jin agrees to re-enter the animus. On 21 November 1581, Arthur is sneaking into the Tower of London where the Templar Edmund Campion is being held for treason. Arthur eavesdrops on a variety of conversations to find where Campion is being held. Eventually hearing the information he needs, Arthur makes his way to the White Tower. He avoids killing any guards but non-lethally takes down any that get in his way. Arthur successfully reaches Little Ease and interrogates Campion inside.

Initially, Campion refuses to give any information to the Assassin but is reminded he's going to die anyway. Campion reluctantly reveals to Arthur that he had been framed of treason, Arthur deduces that this was the Secret Organisation's doing which Campion confirms. Arthur asks who they are with Campion revealing that he'd been investigating them and learned of their name - the Preservers of Humanity. Campion then tells Arthur that he was framed by them when he got too close to figuring out their ultimate goals.

Following this, Campion calls for the guards telling Arthur that killing Assassin before parting this world was too good to pass up. Following this, the guards arrive and Arthur is forced to fight his way out of the White Tower. Freerunning his way to the top of the outer war, Arthur escapes by performing a Leap of Faith into a pile of hay and flees into the night.

1 December 1581, Arthur is present at Campion's execution in Tyburn, perched from above. As the hanging is about to take place, Arthur uses his Eagle Vision to locate any potential members of the Preservers in attendance. After a few minutes of scouring, he manages to locate a member of the secret group. A familiar looking man with red hair and soon after the execution was over, Arthur stealthily tailed the man and overheard his plan of travelling to Mantua, Italy in order to spread the influence of the Preservers.

Learning of this, Arthur returns to the Abbey and informs Abbot of what he discovered. After hearing this, Abbot praises Arthur for discovering this information and tells him to continue his investigation, allowing him to travel to Italy. As well as this, Abbot tells him to locate a fellow Assassin James Crichton - who was currently trying to ally the Assassins with the Duke of Muntua.

Issue 4[]

On 3 July 1582, Italy, Arthur is writing a letter to Aleria updating her on his investigation - during his time in Mantua, he allied with Crichton and the two became good friends in the process of learning more about the Preservers. They oppose both the Assassins and Templars but aim to remain a hidden organisation, even from the two groups, and through this - they kill anyone who grows too close to discovering them or their goals. Arthur is still unaware of what their true goals are or why they oppose the Assassins and Templars, he writes that he is determined to find out.

Following the conclusion of this letter, Arthur hands it over to a courier before going on his way. Arthur is then attacked, deducing it to be a member of the Preservers, he repels his attacker and neutralises him. Before dying, his attacker mocks him and states that while he saved his self, he would not be able to rescue Crichton. Hearing this, Arthur rushes to the dwelling of Crichton's lover, knowing he spent most nights there. He discovers that Crichton has already left, forcing Arthur to make his way over to his friend's home.

On his way there, he hears the sound of swords clashing - following this sound, he finds Crichton in intense combat with masked attackers. Arthur immediately, joins in, aiding his friend fight off his attackers. The two fight valiantly, killing Crichton's attackers. However, the leader Arthur encountered in the All Saints Church enters the skirmish and engages Arthur and Crichton, aiding the last remaining masked attacker in the process. Arthur is once more bested by the Preserver he encountered at the Church months prior, Ewan.

Badly beaten from his fight with Ewan, Arthur is forced to watch helplessly as Crichton is killed by Prince Vincenzo Gonzaga, Crichton's rival now allying himself with the Preservers. Shortly before passing out from his injuries, Arthur hears Ewan order Gonzaga to leave Arthur alive as 'the Lord' wishes to speak with him.

Some time later, Arthur wakes up in a dungeon cell stripped of his robes and equipment. Upon waking up, the same red-haired man from Campion's execution arrives with Ewan. The man orders Ewan to wait outside the cell, Arthur can't help but find the man so familiar. Not revealing himself yet, the redhead man expresses delight at having captured Arthur specifically, having longed to kill him for many years. It then all clicks, Arthur realises that the man standing before him is an O'Connor. Confirming this, the man reveals himself as Kieran O'Connor.

Issue 5[]

The simulation of Arthur's current memory becomes unstable and Jin is promptly kicked out of the Animus. Robbie expresses his confusion at what just happened, leading Sam to run a diagnostic. Regardless, Gina tells Jin to take a break now that they already have a lot to work with after having discovered the name of the group. Gina orders Sam to look up any information on the Preservers of Humanity and who Kieran O'Connor was once her diagnostic is complete.

Following the completion of Sam's diagnostic, she explains to the team what happened. In the current memory Jin was reliving, Arthur was recalling another memory following his discovery of who Kieran O'Connor was. She further adds that the animus was having trouble processing the simulated memory and Arthur's recollection of another memory at the time. Robbie asks what they can do with Sam explaining that if they place Jin in the memory Arthur was recalling and he synchronizes with it, Jin may be able to progress further with Arthur's memories in the 1580s.

With that Gina tells everyone to take a break but knows full well Sam will want to research into the Preservers and O'Connor on her own. During this time, Jin gets to know Gina and Sam more, learning more about the Assassins and Templars as well. Robbie is apprehensive of him, making his knowledge of Jin's criminal past known. Jin however, counters Robbie, stating that he at least isn't a killer. The two eventually come to verbal blows with Robbie arguing that he only kills "bad people" with Jin reminding him that murder is still murder.

Robbie throws the first punch with Jin following suit. Jin is able to land one blow before Gina breaks up the fight, reprimanding both of them for their immaturity. Gina reminds them that they are a team now and they're going to have to get along or else. Aggravated at this, Jin goes to bed. While in bed, he has a nightmare of his mother and the night he found her body.

The next day, Jin wakes up and meets with the others. Robbie goes on to apologise to Jin for his hostility as well as punching him, still holding a grudge Jin meets him with scornful silence. Sam awkwardly breaks the tension and informs the group of her findings, and that she basically has none. There are no mentions of the Preservers and the only information she can find on O'Connor is that he was Irish, a noble, and secretly a Templar and that he died in 1587. After hearing this, Jin expresses his confidence in finding the truth in the Animus.

Issue 6[]

Jin is loading into a simulation of Arthur's memories, while inside Sam reminds him that he needs to synchronize with Arthur's earlier memories in order to progress further in 1582. Jin is subsequently loaded into Waterford, Ireland 1570, Arthur as a child meets with a redheaded boy named James and the two greet each other as close friends. The boys spend a few hours playing together and it begins to rain as they do so. The boys take notice of a cave and James expresses his desire to go inside but Arthur is apprehensive.

James eventually convinces Arthur to accompany him inside and the two enter it. The rain eventually went into a heavy overturn as the boys were in the cave and flooded it. Trapped inside Arthur managed to escape and turned to try and help James out but was unable to - Arthur was forced to watch as James drowned. Returning home, the devastated child informs his family of what had happened. Finn, Arthur's father, no doubt knew that James' father would blame Arthur for his boy's death and promptly packed the family and moved them to Whitby, England.

Skipping to 1577, Jin experiences the grief Arthur goes through during the next seven years and witnesses the self destructive nature he went through. Seeing similarities in his own life following his mother's death Jin couldn't help but empathise with his ancestor.

Now 19, Arthur is in the middle of being kicked out of a tavern for starting a barfight. Drunkenly, he cursors the tavern owner before making his way home. Upon reaching the location of his home, he finds it on fire and masked men on horses standing over his family's bodies. Enraged, Arthur attacks his family's killers but is quickly overwhelmed and brutally beaten. The leader of the attackers reveals his identity to Arthur as James' father who Arthur refers to as Mr. O'Connor. O'Connor tells Arthur that he had spent the last 7 years tracking him down, blaming Arthur for his son's death. O'Connor also gaslights Arthur, telling him that the young man is responsible for his family's death, stating that their death was an act of equal scale.

O'Connor then reveals his plan to not kill Arthur immediately, but to return him to Ireland where he plans to torture him horrendeously before finally killing him. Arthur is then knocked out when O'Connor stomps on his face. He wakes up a few days later where he meets Aleria, who is revealed to have rescued him.

Returning to 1582, through this flashback it is revealed that Arthur has deduced that Kieran is James' younger brother.

Issue 7[]

Kieran blames Arthur for James' death believing if James hadn't associated with "commoners" like Arthur, then he'd still be alive. Kieran also reveals that his father was a Templar and that he and James were supposed to follow in his footsteps. Noticing the Templar cross that he is carrying, Arthur questions if he is a Preserver or a Templar. Kieran admits that he is both, however his true loyalties lie with the Preservers. He explains that he hated the Assassins for killing his father and he is disinterested with the Templars' goal of forced peace through control.

Kieran expresses that he disagrees with both the Assassins and Templars, calling them meddlesome and incapabale of leaving well enough alone. Arthur reminds Kieran that the Assassin protect freewill with Kieran wrongly believing that the Assassins invite anarchy. Kieran continues and tells Arthur that the Preservers simply act to oppose both the Assassins and Templars, fighting to leave humanity to its own devices.

Following this, Arthur asks why they were looking for the Shield but Kieran denies him an answer. Confused, Arthur asks why he would tell him all of this but not what the Preservers want with the Shield. Kieran gleefully tells Arthur that he wanted the Assassin to know about the existence of the Preservers but die with the knowledge he won't be able to tell the Assassins. It is then revealed by Kieran that Arthur is to be sent to trial for the murder of James Crichton as well as a plot to assassinate Prince Vincezo Gonzaga, with the story that Crichton died defending Gonzago from Arthur.

Arthur would spend the next 6 months in a dungeon where he was tortured and interrogated, repeatedly questioned regarding the "assassination plot" while he waited to go to trial. A few days before his trial in January 1583, he hears the guard outside of his cell killed. Aleria and a small group of other Assassins reveal themselves to Arthur, there to free him. The two embrace and he asks her how she found him, Aleria explains that after he hadn't sent more letters she noticed something was wrong and came to Italy to investigate. Eventually, she found out he was imprisoned and came to rescue him. Handing him two of his Hidden Blades, Arthur escapes with Aleria and the other Assassins.

Issue 8[]

2 years pass and Arthur has made a full recovery and has since cleared his name of both Crichton's death and plotting to assassinate Gonzago, thanks to the help of Queen Elizabeth I, an Assassin ally. Arthur has resumed his investigation into the Preservers of Humanity. Following his debrief to William Abbot, William has since made it a high priority to find any traces of the Preservers and assassinate any of its members. During this time, Arthur has caught wind that English lawyer Edmund Plowden is a member of the Templars and a Preserver spy.

Tracking Plowden down to his home in London, at nightfall Arthur sneaks his way into Plowdon's home and reaches his chambers. There he restrains a sleeping Plowden in his bed, waking him up he demands answers but instead of providing him with any, Plowdon calls for guards before managing to kick Arthur off of the bed. However, before Arthur can restrain Plowden, his guards arrive.

Arthur is forced to fight them off while Plowden flees in the chaos. Dispatching the guards quickly, Arthur gives chase to Plowden who he can see escaping into the streets from the bedroom window. Noticing a hay pile below, Arthur performs a Leap of Faith into the hay pile and chases after Plowden. Finally catching up to him, Arthur pounces on him before assassinating him. Due to his age, Plowden dies instantly and Arthur is unable to question him - however, he finds a letter on his person hailing from Ewan. The letter details of a plot to assassinate Queen Elizabeth as her relationship with the Assassins is deemed too dangerous.

Arthur spends a year finding out more information about the plot. Arthur learns more information from Aleria who has since assassinated Margaret Clitharow, a Templar with information on the assassination. She reveals that Ewan, Anthony Babington, John Ballard and more have been tasked with carrying out the assassination to replace the Queen with Mary, Queen of Scots who would be impartial to both the Assassins and Templars. Arthur and Aleria inform Francis Walsingham of this plot and enlist his help to stop the conspirators. The three begin to formulate a plan of their own.

Issue 9[]

The Assassins and Walsingham's plan involved utilising double agents to correspond between Mary and the Preservers in order to entrap Mary in the plot, as well as find out more information on the Preservers' planned assassination. The plan was successful and the conspirators were arrested in August 1586, all of them but Ewan. Arthur and Aleria were present at the interrogations, although they detested the torture methods used the Assassins were aware it was needed in order to save Elizabeth.

Eventually, the conspirators confessed and revealed that Ewan where he was located and that he was still planning to assassinate Elizabeth. Certain that now their original plan was set back, Arthur knew that Elizabeth was not under threat currently but Ewan still needed to be dealt with. Aleria accompanies Arthur to Ewan, refusing to allow him to go alone as he already lost to Ewan twice. With Aleria there, she was certain they'd be able to defeat him.

Arthur and Aleria track Ewan to a mansion in Queen Anne's Square and find it desolate. Arthur proposes they split up and search for him but Aleria refuses, believing it too dangerous to go alone since Ewan has already bested him twice. Arthur agrees and the two search the mansion together. There they were attacked by Ewan and a fight began, during this fight Ewan was able to temporarily knock out Arthur which left Aleria alone with him. Ewan revealed to Aleria that he was once an Assassin and goaded her when he confessed to having killed her parents.

Flying into a frenzy, Aleria attacks Ewan and gives him difficulty for a short time but he manages to best her and subdue her. Arthur regains consciousness and sees Ewan preparing to kill Aleria, jumping up to his feet Arthur rushed to Ewan and attacks him once more. Arthur manages to injure Ewan's shoulder with his Hidden Gun but Ewan is able to escape by trapping Arthur under a bookcase.

Issue 10[]

Jin is brought out of the Animus much to his dismay, Sam warns him that too much exposure could have bad consequences. Jin then proceeds to admit it gets a little confusing going through all these years in Arthur's life to only find out he's been in the Animus for a few hours. With that, Gina ends the session for today praising Jin for all the information he recovered.

This leads Jin to ask what happens to him when they get what they need from him. Speaking up Sam says that he can join them and become an Assassin, joking that he's "half way there" already because of his ancestor. Robbie cynically adds its that or die, Jin morbidly states that there isn't much choice there. Gina, sympathetically tells him that now he's a target of both Abstergo and the Preservers, he's safest with the Assassins. She wishes that he really did have the free choice to choose but his options were limited thanks to outside forces. Disheartened by the news, Jin leaves the hideout claiming to need some fresh air.

Outside, Jin is contemplating things and realises before he became a target, he didn't have much of a life before. He was just repeating the same negative cylces and harming himself and others, Jin ponders that maybe joining the Assassins and fighting for a noble cause isn't so bad after all and that maybe it would somehow honor his mom. Robbie arrives and stands beside Jin silently, Jin is still angry at Robbie and prepares to leave until he is asked to stop.

Robbie then sincerely apologises, stating that he gets really serious when it comes to Assassin and Templar stuff. It is then he reveals to Jin how his and Gina's parents were killed - during an attack on their home. Robbie reveals through a flashback that Abstergo came to abduct him and his sister due to their ancestry and their parents died so they could escape. He expresses to Jin how much he hates Abstergo and that when people don't take the Assassin-Templar seriously, it sets him off. He apologises once more and also expresses empathy that Abstergo have now made it impossible for him to return to his old life.

Hearing this story causes Jin to reevaluate his negative feelings toward Robbie, realising that they both have similar stories and now they have similar temperaments because of it. After a few moments alone, Jin re-enters the hideout.

Issue 11[]

It is April 1587, and Arthur is preparing to make his last stand against O'Connor and Ewan. Arthur tracks and assassinates Thomas Bromley, a high ranking Templar, interrogating him before he dies Arthur learns that O'Connor and Ewan are preparing to sail for the New World and expand the Templar network there within the day. Knowing that this isn't the case and O'Connor is actually planning on expanding the Preservers' presence, Arthur rushes to the Port of London by horseback and using his Eagle Vision - he locates O'Connor and Ewan who are preparing to board a ship to the Colonies.

However, Ewan catches sight of Arthur and the two Preservers flee. Arthur gives chase, chasing them through the streets of London and concluding it in an abandoned warehouse. Ewan stops to match Arthur, telling O'Connor to escape while he does. However, Arthur shoots his Hidden Gun into O'Connor's back stopping him, but not killing him. An enraged Ewan attacks Arthur and briefly overwhelms him, managing to disarm him forcing Arthur to fight with his Hidden Blades. The fight is long and brutal with the two severely injuring each other but Ewan once more begins to turn the fight in his favour.

Arthur is knocked on to the ground, nearly beaten. As Ewan prepares to land the finishing blow, Arthur proceeds to stab Ewan in the leg with his Hidden Blade and roll out of the way of Ewan dropping his sword on him. Getting up to his feet, Arthur proceeds to impale his Hidden Blades into Ewan's throat, killing him. With Ewan out of the way, Arthur approaches O'Connor who is on the verge of death from his gunshot wound.

O'Connor tells Arthur how much he hates him, that James' death was all his fault. Arthur, now having been able to alleviate himself of the guilt he felt at James' death tells O'Connor that it wasn't his fault. Revealing the James insisted, pressuring Arthur to go into the cave with him. O'Connor angrily tells him that he should have saved him, Arthur agrees and explains that he tried too but he wasn't strong enough and not a day goes by without him wishing things could be diferent. Still not having forgiven Arthur, O'Connor openly mocks him and confidently states that the Preservers have grown beyond him now and that his death means nothing - they will continue on.

Arthur asks him what he wanted with the Piece of Eden all those years ago. O'Connor reveals that the Piece of Eden is part of a set called the Armor of Ares, with the Armor being capable of memory manipulation on a global scale through interfacing with an Isu vault. O'Connor further reveals that he has tasked the Preservers with locating them and purging the world of both Assassins and Templars with it. Arthur asks where the Shield was and if they'd found anymore, O'Connor reveals that the Shield had been transported to a location he does not know the location of, and refused to answer the second. With that, O'Connor dies.

Issue 12[]

Arthur returns to the Abbey and informs the Mentor of what had transpired earlier in the day, as well as what he'd learned. Abbot praises him for his work and putting an end to O'Connor, certain that it will set back the Preservers quite a bit. Arthur expresses his desire to search for the Shield and the other Pieces of Eden otherwise their Brotherhood will always be under threat. Impressed by Arthur's initiative, Abbot grants Arthur permission to begin his new mission.

Jin exits the Animus, asking if they got what they wanted. Gina confirms that now that they know about the Preservers and what they stand for, they need to look further into Arthur's memories and see if he found the Armor of Ares. With that, Gina goes on to contact William Miles. While she does this, Sam looks more into Arthur's life after 1587 through the database and discovers that Arthur died in Osaka, Japan in 1615. Jin and Robbie express their confusion at what Arthur was doing in Japan, Sam tells them that there was only one way to find out, looking toward the Animus.

Following their exchange, Jin approaches the window of their hideout and sees a car approaching. He notifies the other Assassins who realise this can't be anything good, Gina orders Jin and Sam to pack and get in the van as fast as they can while they deal with whoever's in the car. Gina and Robbie go on to meet the intruders, revealing themselves to be none other than the man and woman who attacked Jin. They introduce themselves simply as Maria and Frederic, feigning friendliness they "kindly" ask for the Assassins to hand over Jin. Robbie refuses cursing them out, Gina asks how they even found them and Maria reveals that they put a tracker on Jin when Abstergo grabbed him.

Robbie's impulsiveness gets the better of him and he immediately charges toward the two Preservers, however Maria shoots him in the shoulder calling it a warning shot. In her earpierce, Sam notifes Gina that all the essentials are loaded up. With that, Gina deploys a smoke bomb knowing that they are outmatched she helps Robbie and leads him to the van. As they enter the van, Gina searches for a tracker on Jin before throwing it out as Sam speedily drives off. As they flee, Gina begins patching up Robbie. Panicked, Sam reveals that the Preservers are following and are hot on their tail.
