Assassin's Creed: Northbound is an sandbox-style action-adventure-stealth video game developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft. The game will be released for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Wii U on December 24, and Xbox 360, PS4, and PC on January 31 in a "Solid" edition. The game follows 23-year-old Thomas Halvorson in 1814 during the revolutionary struggle between the Swedish, the Danish, and the Templar-supported Norwegian independance party.
The game was recieved positively in most countries. Northbound is the first in a four-part series building up a modern-day story in the Assassin's Creed franchise. In July, Ubisoft announced the game's sequels-in-progress, code-entitled Blackout, Retaliation, and Endless.
