A possible bloodline Sage who lived during the time of the Carthaginian Empire was discovered by the Seoul branch of Abstergo Entertainment. Likely living during the Second Punic War (218 BCE - 201 BCE) between Carthage and the Roman Republic, this potential Sage was discovered after the genetic material of South Korean Assassin Na Yeong-Cheol was taken for research by the Templars, as they wanted DNA samples of Sages after restarting the Pheonix Project, which failed a few years prior.
It is believed that the Sage was one of Hannibal Barca's officers, although this theory has not been able to be fully investigated by Abstergo as of now.
However, it was determined that since this possible Sage lived over 2,000 years in the past, it was unclear if Abstergo would be able to retrieve a genetic sample, so the Templars decided not to search for the individual's remains.
