Conservatory

The Conservatory is a hidden Isu site located in the Canadian province of Newfoundland. This structure was designed by the Isu Magni, Shakaru, and Pah and constructed by members of the Isu and human race in an attempt to prevent the Great Catasrophe. The undeground structure was designed to house the stasis technology built by Shakaru and Pah, where a select amount of Isu would remain in stasis until one of Pah's human incarnations would awaken them following the solar flare's destruction.

Design[]

The Conservatory was built deep underground to protect against the oncoming solar flare that threatened the Earth. It was a large underground structure but smaller than the likes of the Factory and the Observatory. Within the centre of the Conservatory was a large circular platform with a large stone entrance built toward the north of the platform. Inside the stone entrance was the Stasis Chamber, which would be where the selected Isu members would remain until they were revived by one of Pah's incarnations.

The Conservatory also had generators that harnassed the energy from the Earth's core, powering the stasis pods which allowed the members of the Isu to survive for millennia.

Security measures[]

The Isu complex had strict security measures, while the methods were not lethal unlike the Observatory and the Factory - it was nigh impossible to access. A specially designed key was needed to access the first entrance to the Conservatory, while access to the Stasis Chamber is only accessible by members of Magni's bloodline - having their DNA keyed to the central console, located outside the Stasis Chamber's entrance.

History[]

Origin[]

The Isu Shakuru and Pah devised their own plan for survival and incorporated the aid of Magni to design the temple. The Isu couple tricked the Asgardian into believing that the stasis would be used for both members of the Isu and members of humanity. In actuality, their plan was to store Shakuru and other Isu supremacists in these pods while Pah volunteered to reincarnate into humanity to eventually revive them and take resume control of the world. Once Magni discovered this, he swore to put a stop to it.

Altering the design of the Temple, Magni restricted access to the Stasis Chambers where it could only be unlocked by his bloodline. He did this by storing the information in his hybrid child's DNA which would then be passed down to his descendants. Shakuru and Pah were left completely unaware of this.

Middle Ages[]

The Conservatory was rediscovered by the Viking Templar, Svend the Cunning, Livius, an incarnation of Pah and a Roman member of the Hidden Ones, Magni's descendant Ari Einarrson, a Viking and Hidden One, and their ally Hilda Ulfsdottir in 1003. Being inside the temple allowed Pah's memories to completely override Livius' personality and cause him to attack, killing Svend.

When Livius discovered he was unable to access the Stasis Chamber, he lashed out and attacked Ari and Hilda, killing the latter in the process. Livius was eventually killed by the Viking Hidden One, where he revealed that Magni had warned him of Livius prior to finding the Conservatory. Before dying, Livius realised that Magni had tampered with the Conservatory before the Great Catastrophe.

Following Livius' death, Ari took the key that unlocks the first entrance and buried it with Hilda in an indigenous village.

Modern times[]

In 2022, Ari's genetic memories were relived by his descendant Horatio Pierce and his Assassin cell discovered the location of the Conservatory. Travelling to Newfoundland, the cell recovered the key from Hilda's unmarked grave and unlocked the temple entrance. Unwittingly, Horatio would also go on to unlock the Stasis Chamber as a member of Magni's bloodline, unaware of the stasis pods housing members of the Isu.

The rogue Templar Kyle North, another reincarnation of Pah, also arrived with Jennifer Westwood, another descendant of Magni and Horatio's mother, whom North forced to relive the genetic memory of Ari to find out what Magni did to tamper with the Conservatory. A brief skirmish then erupted between the two, resulting in the death of Master Assassin and Horatio's father Arnold Pierce. Distracted by the loss of his father, allowed North to awaken Shakuru and the other Isu where they would leave the Conservatory and escape into the world.
