- ―Dorian Family Motto
The House of Dorian known in modern times as the Dorian Family of Assassins, is a prominent family of Master Assassins that started with the marriage of Master Assassin Arno Victor Dorian and ex-Templar and later Master Assassin Elise de la Serre in 1795, with dominant spheres of influence in their native France, and later in England that still exists to this day. The family’s influence spread to England upon Juliette’s move to England in 1826, and her side of the family was known for their fierce support of the English working class and women, which was strongly fought for and emphasized by Juliette’s daughter, Alana. Francois’ side of the family that remained in France maintained a belief that the people did not need a monarch and preferred a much more democratic approach, which was a belief held by most members on Francois’ side of the family aside from Isabelle Allard, who took more of a revolutionary approach to make her beliefs known.
The last major assassination by a member of the family was Adolf Hitler by Isabelle Allard on April 29th, 1945, which ended World War II in Europe. After her ascension to Mentor in 1954, Isabelle Allard in France and Donald Petersson in England maintained a more humanitarian shift in approach to pressing global issues such as poverty and Women’s Rights.
Prominent burials of the family are housed within the Dorian Family Crypt in Pere Lachaise Cemetery in Paris.
Early History[]
The Dorian Family began with the marriage of Arno Dorian to Elise de la Serre in August of 1795, recruiting her into the Assassins shortly afterward, which was a very controversial move. He would train Elise to become a Master Assassin, earning her rank in 1798. Elise was known for her several missions in quick succession, where she was successful in assassinating famed rival Peter Carroll that same year and the man who had exiled her from the Templar Order Louis de Gaulle in 1799. In between her missions, Elise would give birth to a son that they would name Francois, after her father. Almost a year later, Arno and Elise would prevent the assassination of Napoleon Bonaparte in 1800, forming an alliance with the First Consul of France, which would be severed in 1804 upon Napoleon becoming Emperor.
In 1801, Elise succeeded in recovering a Piece of Eden underneath the Versailles Palace, Assassinating another rival of hers, Thomas de Mort, in the process.
In 1803, Arno and Elise would travel to America to assist Connor in bringing Shay Cormac to an end, eventually tracking him down to a Vault underneath the colosseum in Rome where after a lengthy fight, the older Cormac was spared by Arno.
In 1807, Elise traveled to Constantinople to investigate a temple underneath Topkapi Palace and successfully recovered a Ring of Eden and entrust it to the Ottoman Assassins. She would return a year later to help bring the reign of corrupt Sultan Mustafa IV to an end.
A year in between the missions, Elise would give birth to another child, a daughter they lovingly named Juliette Marie.
Both children would be trained to become Master Assassins, with Francois earning his rank of Master Assassin in 1823 and Juliette would earn hers in 1826 in England, after having a falling out with council member Sophie Trenet after failing a mission that forced Elise into retirement in at the age of 58 due to injuries sustained in the mission. Arno would remain on the council until the age of 62, and would eventually move out to England to be with Juliette in 1847, upon François’ ascent to Mentor that year. Arno would pass away in 1860 at the age of 92 and Elise a year later at the age of 93.
Francois' Side of the Family[]
Head of Family: Margaux Allard (b. 1954)
Margaux Annabelle Allard, current head of the Dorian Family, December 2021.
François Charles Dorian would gain his Master Assassin rank at the age of 24 in the year 1823 and would wait three years until he was given his first assignment by Mentor Sophie Trenet. He was tasked with investigating a satanic cult based in the Paris Catacombs. During his investigation, he came across a couple of cultists beating a young woman to within an inch of her life. After Assassinating the two cultists, he took the woman back home to her parents. While her mother tended to her injuries, Francois was informed by her father to try the catacomb entrance near the Tuileries Palace. The next day, Francois investigated the area only to be beset by more cultists, where he succeeded in assassinating their leader. He would arrive back at the headquarters and witness Trenet force his mother into retirement and nearly banish his sister to England, and would later get no recognition for his success, which led him down a rough path that involved the overconsumption of drugs and pornography. Francois would not return to the Assassins until 1828 when he would marry Marie Albertine and train her to become a Master Assassin. Marie would bear two children for François, a son named Michel in 1831 and a daughter named Gabrielle in 1838. Gabrielle would later train under her parents and become a Master Assassin.
In 1839, after the successful assassination of a corrupt French politician, Francois earned a seat on the council, much like his parents before him, and oversee the resurgence of the Parisian Brotherhood, playing a vital role in creating the Second French Republic in 1848 and re-forging a pivotal alliance with the British Brotherhood, which was led by his sister, Juliette, in 1849. Over the next eleven years, Francois would make the Parisian Assassins as strong as they would be, revolutionizing the training methods of initiates and even assisting them in the Siege of Sevastopol during the Crimean War. Francois would serve in the American Civil War, fighting alongside the likes of Generals Ulysses S. Grant and William T. Sherman, and would retire from the Order in 1868, his daughter Gabrielle would take lead over the Council and return them to a Mentorship style of leadership.
Coat of Arms for the Women's Liberation Front (WLF)
Gabrielle would attain the status of Mentor in June of 1868 and would lead the Parisian Assassins through the short-lived Paris Commune in 1871, where Assassins such as herself, her daughter Annabelle, and Alana Rose Dorian from England played a role in the conflict. Gabrielle would be known for balancing Parisian Assassins to assist the survival of the Commune and fighting in the Franco-Prussian War. Gabrielle would travel to Munich in the new German Empire to assist her cousin Alana in forming an Assassin presence in the young Empire, assisting her in the recruitment process and the planning to take on Bismarck and the German Templars for four months before returning to France, where she would usher in the Belle-epoque by continuing her reign as Parisian Mentor, beginning a campaign against France’s colonialist desires in Africa. Gabrielle would retire from the Assassins in 1896, with Olivier R. Abadie taking over the Parisian Assassins into the 20th century.
In 1860, Gabrielle would give birth to a daughter named Annabelle Doreen and would have another daughter in 1863, named Jacqueline. Annabelle would later join the Assassins, serving under her mother and Abadie until 1927. Annabelle herself would bear two daughters, Sara Fleur in 1887 and Alexandra Marie in 1889.
Joining the Parisian Assassins in 1909, Alexandra was more known for her research on the Pieces of Eden and the Isu, writing several documents and pamphlets on the manner during a time that it wasn’t expected, which enhanced the Parisian Assassin’s knowledge of the manner. She would also act as the Brotherhood's medic and bookkeeper, even serving as a nurse during the Great War in London during the year 1916. It was at this camp that she struck up a friendship with fellow Assassin Lydia Frye and where she would later meet her future husband, Robert Allard.
Isabelle Miranda Allard, September 1940.
In 1933, she would attain the rank of Mentor, a role she never had the chance to relish in, as she was brutally beaten and murdered by German Templar Stefan Klein in revenge for her killing his estranged father.
In 1939, at the age of 19, Isabelle Allard earned her Master Assassin rank on the brink of the Second World War and learned under Lydia Frye before returning to France to eliminate Stefan Klein after failing to kill him in Stalingrad, succeeding in 1944 on the day before the Liberation of France and would go on to assassinate Adolf Hitler in his bunker in April 1945. After the war, she joined the French Military, serving in French Indochina, Madagascar, and Korea. Shortly after her time in the military, Isabelle was named Mentor after Abadie’s passing. After her ascension, she immediately formed an Assassin Cell comprised of famed Assassins around Europe named the Women’s Liberation Front, which was known for its anti-fascist tendencies and its fierce support for women’s rights, even staging a topless protest at a presidential visit in Paris in 1964. They would maintain a diplomatic front until the Great Purge in December 2000, resulting in the breakup of the cell after 46 years.
Isabelle’s daughter Margaux, Granddaughter Irene, and great-granddaughters Anastasia and Meaghan are a part of a phoenix cell called the Eagles of Europe, who continue to fight against Abstergo Industries to this day. Meaghan leads a cell named Union Against Fascism out of Santa Clara, Cuba. After the death of her close friend Horatio Pierce, Meaghan announced an indefinite hiatus from the Assassins, focusing on her family life and music, after stepping down from the Assassins permanently in April of 2023.

Juliette's Side of the Family[]
Head of Family: Mariana O'Rourke (b. 1960)
Juliette Marie Dorian, 1863.
Juliette Marie Dorian would earn her rank of Master Assassin in 1831, five years after her arrival in England. She was known for her assassinations of noted Templars James Parker, Alfred Thorne, and Robert Starrick, which made her Mentor Leonard Frye’s right-hand woman, eventually becoming Mentor in 1858. She was also known as well as for leading the Assassins during the Liberation of London, which gave the Assassins a foothold in London for the first time in 130 years. She would step down from her post in 1876, passing the title of Mentor down to her daughter, Alana. Juliette would live a quiet life in London before passing away in 1900 at the age of 92.
With Frederick Williams Sr, Juliette birthed a daughter, named Agnes Josephine Williams, born on August 9th, 1829. Due to their strict commitment to the Creed, the couple put their daughter up for adoption, where she was adopted by Frans and Anna Hoffmann, and raised in Bergenz, Austria-Hungary. Juliette and Frederick would separate after Agnes' adoption. Juliette would constantly write to her daughter, who was being trained in the ways of the Creed by Austrian Master Assassin Dominik Augustin. Agnes would earn the rank of Master Assassin at the age of twenty-four in September of 1853, and be named to the Austro-Hungarian Assassin Council just after her thirty-third birthday in August of 1862. Agnes would ascend to the rank of Mentor in November of 1868, aged thirty-nine, a post she would hold onto before stepping down in December of 1900, aged 71 years old. Agnes would lead a quiet life after time as Mentor, still assisting the Austro-Hungarian and Austrian Assassins up until her passing on May 9th, 1920, aged 90.
Agnes is known to be the only member of the Dorian Family to have two separate family bloodlines, sharing familial ties with the House of Williams.
Alana Rose Dorian, September 1876.
Born in 1840, Alana Rose Dorian was brought up to be an Assassin and was destined to follow in her mother’s footsteps and become Mentor. Along the way, she traveled extensively throughout her early 20s, discovering tombs and Isu artifacts alongside her closest and best friend Maria Williams. After playing a vital role in the Liberation of London and the death of her husband, Alana moved her family to Munich in Germany, where she set up an Assassin Brotherhood within the newly formed country. She would stay until 1876 and take up the post of British Mentor. She would be devastated by the loss of her friend Maria and godson Xavier in an attack orchestrated by Alphonse Mulligan and the German Templars, and promise that no one else would die on her watch again. Alana would lead the British Assassins to prosperity and even led them through to their darkest time, defeating Jack the Ripper in 1888. Alana would retire from the post of Mentor in 1901, passing it down to her daughter Vienna. She would come out of retirement in 1903 to assist the Assassins in finding the missing Gauntlet of Eden, which led her to discover the Gauntlet in the hands of her godson Xavier Baudin. The two engaged in a lengthy fight across St. Paul’s Cathedral in London, where Xavier wounded Alana several times. Inside the cathedral, the fight ended when Alana fatally wounded her godson by piercing his lung. The incident would scar Alana for the rest of her life and further strain the relations between the Dorians and Williams. Alana permanently retired from the Assassins and retired to Vienna’s flat in Liverpool, where she would spend the rest of her days sans two years in Brighton during the Great War, where she would pass away at the age of 95 in December 1935 from natural causes.
Alana with her twin children, Cavan and Vienna, February 1888.
Born the oldest twin of Alana Rose Dorian and Albert Andreas Richardson in Liverpool, Vienna Victoria Dorian was known for having a difficult time getting out of her mother’s shadow, both as a Master Assassin and Mentor, but eventually overcame the struggles and continued to lead the British Assassins through World War One and the Post-war period, ushering in new reforms over her time as Mentor, allowing initiates to choose and train for their desired role within the Brotherhood. She would eventually retire in 1932. With her retirement, Lydia Frye, Vienna’s former apprentice, was named Mentor a year later in 1933. Vienna’s retirement in 1932 ended 74 years of Dorian family leadership that began with her grandmother Juliette. Vienna, much like her mother, would lead a quiet life after her Assassin career and pass away of natural causes in her flat in Liverpool at the age of 90.
After Vienna Victoria Dorian’s passing, those that followed after her began to distance themselves from the Creed, with very few members on Juliette’s side of the family being involved in the fight against the Templars, leading lives out of the spotlight. Assassins such as Mariana O’Rourke still maintain an aggressive front against Abstergo, with her being a member of her cousin Margaux’s Assassin Cell, the Eagles of Europe.

Political Views[]
Both sides have different views when it comes to political views and ideologies. The Dorian Family were originally supporters of Napoleon Bonaparte up until he was crowned Emperor of the French in 1804 when they immediately severed ties with him. Francois' side of the family was anti-monarchist and supported the French Revolutions post-Napoleon and supported the installation of democracy for future governments of France. Gabrielle's leadership of the Parisian Assassins set them on the left-wing politically with their participation in the Paris Commune. Alexandra would upkeep their left-wing beliefs by writing to Vladimir Lenin during the Russian Revolution. Her daughter Isabelle, who lived during World War II, became a staunch anti-fascist and her Women's Liberation Front consisted of like-minded individuals who fought for more rights for women and against fascism.
Juliette's side of the family sympathized with the working classes of England and stood in solidarity with them. Both Juliette and Alana admired the works of Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels, even meeting them on a few occasions to discuss the state of the working classes in England. Juliette, Alana, and Vienna would all consider themselves to be Marxists and would incorporate socialist teachings to their initiates. Vienna would even visit Vladimir Lenin in Moscow in 1921, after the Russian Civil War. Only a select few on Juliette's side of the family are socialists, with Donald Petersson and Mariana O'Rourke being two of them.
Dorian-Williams Family Relations[]
The signing of the Lebret Agreement between Isabelle Allard and Felix Williams-Farias, September 1961.
The Dorian Family has been known for their tensions throughout history with the famed Williams Family, an Anglo-German aristocratic family of Assassins and their distant relatives. The two families frequently criticized each other on everything from how their respective Brotherhoods were run to their differing political ideologies, but the biggest conflict between the two families was over the Gauntlet of Eden, a Piece of Eden that could look into the future and provide the user with alternate timelines, with the British Brotherhood and many members of the Dorian Family lauding Alana as a hero for discovering the Gauntlet, whereas the German Brotherhood and members of the Williams Family such as Quin Williams, believed that Maria Williams deserved more credit for actually discovering what the Gauntlet was capable of and that the Gauntlet should be in Germany where it rightfully belongs. After Isabelle Allard unknowingly tampered with the Gauntlet in a vault under a small church in Lebret, Saskatchewan in May of 1961, and after a tense and heated conversation at her cabin with Quin Williams, an agreement was formed, which was titled the Lebret Agreement, which ceded the Vault in Lebret to the Williams Family and reduced tensions greatly between the two families. The agreement is still honored by both families until 2021, where it was violated by Harlan and Darcy Baudin, and Darcy's cousin Celeste.
Banner of Prominent Dorian Women[]
The Banner of Prominent Dorian Women is a red banner with the busts of five Dorian Family women who have contributed eight years of their Assassin career as Mentor or a Council Member and have at least one prominent assassination to their name. The five Dorian women on the banner are as follows:

Criticism[]
- "That family on both sides always seems to meddle in the internal affairs of my family under the guise of 'helping us sort things out'. They aren't sorting anything out for us. They're hindering our growth."
- ―Colt Baudin telling Chinami Naito about the Dorian-Williams Family conflict, July 2008.
The Dorian Family has faced some controversies and criticisms over its existence. Arno Dorian was criticized by many Assassins for enlisting his wife Elise into the Assassin Order, with many stating that due to her Templar past, she may defect back to the Templars and relay Assassin secrets to them, which was ultimately proven false.
The main critics of the Dorian Family were the House of Williams, with many members of the family such as the famed Maria Williams and her niece Quin, have been critical of the Mentorship Dynasty (Juliette, Alana, and Vienna) that led the British Brotherhood for 74 years, stating that they were overbearing on initiates, gloated too much in their successes, and suppressed the freedom to learn for initiates, on top of interfering in Williams Family affairs without being asked. In an unpublished paper, Quin even stated that the Mentorship Dynasty was 'authoritarian in nature'.
Two women, namely Alana and Isabelle, were heavily criticized for their views on how they should dress. Alana, during the Liberation of London, Alana commissioned an arist to paint her in a series of photos of Alana in various stages of undress, with the final two paintings exposing her breasts. These paintings are dubbed as the Risque Photos of 1868. Many people claimed that Alana was a prostitute due to her voracious sexual appetite, and people claimed she frequented Whitechapel on some nights. Documents within the Dorian Family Archives have proved these as false. Isabelle herself was heavily criticized for playing a role in a women's rights protest during a presidential visit to Paris in 1964 where Isabelle and Vivian exposed their breasts with body autonomy slogans painted on their bodies, which led to the four women getting forcibly arrested by police and serving time under house arrest. She was criticized for exposing her breasts in general and many conservatives and conservative politicians stated that Isabelle and her cell deserved what they got as a punishment. Many people also criticized Isabelle every time photos of her breasts being exposed or her being scantily clad, and called many misogynistic slurs.
Japanese Master Assassin and leader of the Hidden Tigers Assassin Cell Chinami Naito has stated that the Dorian Family were vital to where the Assassins are today, but has cited them as being both imperialist and colonialist, due to the family's desire to have a presence in each continent and their desire only to help when it benefits them. She also called the likes of Alana and Isabelle 'exhibitionists' due to their sexual appetites and revealing photos.
Many people over the years have seen that many members of the Dorian Family have been known to leap into scenarios and situations with little regard, hurting many people as a result of their brashness.
Legal Issues[]
Some members of the Dorian Family have had a history of crimes, although unintentionally.
Arno Dorian, the patriarch of the family, was arrested at the scene in 1789 after his stepfather Francois de la Serre was murdered by Templars and thrown into the Bastille without a trial. He freed himself along with Pierre Bellec during the Storming of the Bastille that same year.
His son, Francois, declined severely with his mental health after his sister Juliette left for England in 1826, and abused opium, cocaine, and pornography. He would get himself into trouble with the law as he would frequently abuse people on the streets and demand they give opium or cocaine to him. He would serve a few weeks in prison before being released back onto the streets.
Mugshot of Alana Rose Dorian.
Alana Rose Dorian was the victim of a sham arrest planned by Crawford Starrick in 1864, where she was forcibly detained by police in London and put on trial, and in a few short hours, Alana was sentenced to 6 months in Newgate Prison. Near the end of her sentence, she fought with Sabrina Reinhold, a relative of Starrick’s, in the boiler room. She was forcibly detained once more and sentenced to hang by the neck until dead, and served her time in the condemned cell while she waited for her execution date. Due to her lover Albert’s influence, Alana was released in March of 1865, and Sabrina was hanged in lieu of Alana due to her true nature and role in the fight.
Mugshot of Isabelle Miranda Allard.
Isabelle Allard herself has been the center of some alleged crimes as well. While homeless after the death of her mother in 1939, she assaulted an officer who questioned her about her panhandling in 1940 and was arrested for assaulting an officer. Records of her arrest were destroyed and she was released upon the impending invasion of Nazi Germany.
In 1963, Isabelle was arrested in Birmingham, Alabama for ‘inciting a riot alongside Negros’. She would spend her 43rd birthday in an Alabama prison before American Assassin Mentor William Samuelson posted her bail.
In 1964, Isabelle, along with Vivian Cadieux-Foden and Irina O’Reilly, were arrested after staging a topless protest at Hotel de Ville during a visit from President Charles de Gaulle. Isabelle and her fellow protestors were charged with indecent exposure, exhibitionism, plotting and planning a protest, and the act of protesting. Isabelle was sentenced to an eight-month sentence under house arrest at her cabin in Aix-les-Bains.
The mugshot of Alana and the two mugshots of Isabelle are highly sought after by mugshot collectors, although the only copies of them have been stored away in the Dorian Family Archives in Paris.
Alternate Universe[]
In an alternate universe projected by the Gauntlet of Eden, The Dorian Family would be hunted down over the span of two years between 1895 and 1897 in a purge that was dubbed The Divine Retribution, led by former family friend and Assassin now Templar Maria Williams and her daughter Marceline. Juliette was beheaded in brutal fashion by Marceline, along with Vienna's children Joshua and Lillian. Vienna tried to stop them, but was shot in the head, which left her in a coma for two months, which also removed all her memory as an Assassin. With the death of Alana Rose Dorian at the hands of Maria by way of a fatal stab wound to her gut, the Dorian Family was rendered extinct, aside from Vienna and Cavan, who went into exile in Liverpool and Glasgow, Scotland respectively, not wanting anything to do with the Assassins, Templars, or the Assassin-Templar War.
