The Dorian Family Archives is the Assassin archive belonging to the House of Dorian, known in the modern day as the Dorian Family, located in Paris, France. Built in 1905, the archive contains several documents pertaining to both lines of the Dorian Family in France and England.

1905-1954[]

The archives were started in 1905 by the retired Mentor Gabrielle Elise Dorian, who over the span of two years gathered documents pertaining to members of the Dorian Family, spending the next twenty years meticulously organizing them by the members of the family and the year the documents and photos were taken. She stepped down from being the archivist in 1929, putting her granddaughter Alexandra in charge of the archives. Her time as archivist came to an end in 1939 due to her murder by Stefan Klein, and was sealed by Annabelle Dorian shortly before the outbreak of World War Two. Since the archives were underground, the archives survived being damaged and remained untouched. Upon the end of the war, Olivier R. Abadie, Mentor of the Parisian Assassins, took charge of the archives until his passing in 1954.

After the war ended, the body of Alana Rose Dorian was transferred to a vault within the archive in an air-tight glass sarcophagus, where it remains to this day. The vault is dubbed The Vault of the Iron Rose, and houses various items belonging to Alana, such as weaponry, outfits, correspondences, and first drafts of all her writings.

1954-present[]

Shortly after Abadie’s death, Isabelle Allard, his adoptive daughter, became the Mentor of the Parisian Assassins and revitalized the Brotherhood, recruiting several Assassins from across Europe to join her cell. She recruited Irina McCall from England to manage the archives in 1955. As the years when on, Irina received documents pertaining to the Dorian Family and organized them in the same fashion as Gabrielle did, even ordering an expansion of the archive to its current size in 1970. During Irina’s time as the archivist, more documents from Juliette’s side of the family were added to the archive.

Irina stepped down as the archivist in October 2000 after forty-five years. Ten years after, all documents were uploaded to an internet archive, except for the Sage Journal written by Isabelle Allard, which remained under lock and key in the archive vault until July 2027. The archives are protected by an encrypted code.

The current archivists are Margaux Allard and Mariana O’Rourke, taking up ownership in 2000 and 2003 respectively, and are the only two people that hold keys to the building, which was underground.

Since the 1950’s, the Dorian Family Archive has become one of the most secure buildings in all of France.
