The Hunt

Eros was a Thasanian bandit and former soldier in the Athenian army. At the outbreak of the Peloponnesian War, he and a group of Athenian soldiers was hired by general Chiron of Thasos to hunt down and kill the parents of Diana. He was later hunted down and killed by the Spartan misthios Kassandra.

Biography[]

Early life []

Brought up from unknown origins, Eros probably came from Thasos and was trained at the Champion's Gymnasium before entering the Athenian army as a mere brute.

Peloponnesian War[]

Being a high-ranking commander on the island of Thasos, it was expected by many that Chiron would send Eros to the mainland to aid Athens at the outbreak of the Peloponnesian War, but he decided to keep him for the plot to kill Phila and her husband: the main reason being he wanted a red herring.

With the help of his agents, Chiron learned that Diana was going to the woods to show off her skills to her parents. Chiron appointed Eros and a group of soldiers to hunt them down and kill them – making Eros the leader. They ambushed Diana, and forced her to watch the execution of her parents. Chiron delivered the death blow, being given the order by Eros.

As a reward for their participation in the ambush, Eros and his gang was allowed to do as they pleased, as Chiron didn't want to fight Eros or his equals.

Death[]

When Diana, with the help of the misthios Kassandra, began investigating the rogue Athenians, they quickly learned that Eros was the head of the group. Residing in the treasury of Thasos City, Eros was going out for a walk with a group of bodyguards when he was attacked by Diana and Kassandra, killing him.

Trivia[]
