Ewan (1550 - 1587) was a Scottish member of the Preservers of Humanity of humanity and a former Assassin.
Following the death of his lover, a fellow Assassin, during a failed mission Ewan grew resentful of his former allies. This led him to meeting Kieran O'Connor, the founder of the Preservers of Humanity, and become his first recruit. At an unknown point he killed two Assassins, the parents of Aleria Sinclair-Kavanagh.
Ewan was instrumental in the Preservers of Humanity's growth, having retrieved a piece of the Armor of Ares for his organisation, plotting to assassinate Queen Elizabeth I of England and helping Kieran spread the influence of the Preservers across Europe and parts of Asia.
As well as this, Ewan was a formidable foe who utilised his brute strength in tangent with his Assassin training. Near-unstoppable, he was capable of besting nearly any opponent and had killed many Assassins. Ewan was so skilled that he almost killed the Assassin prodigy in her own right, Aleria Sinclair-Kavanagh.
He was killed by the Assassin Arthur Kavanagh in 1587.
