Habagat was born to Makisig, an army commander, and Lakambini, a merchant, in 1501. Despite being initially perceived as a weak child, he grew into a dedicated and determined warrior. His exact physical features are not explicitly described, but his strength, courage, and skills in combat are emphasized throughout the narrative.

Habagat faced challenges due to his perceived weakness as a child. However, the death of his mother in 1516 became a catalyst for him to overcome his limitations and strive to become a warrior.
