Magni was an Asgardian Isu scientist and the son of Thor and the grandson of Odin. Like many of his fellow Isu, Magni came to be revered as a god both during and after his lifetime, with his influence even stretching as far as North America being referred to as Gluskab or Hahgwehdiyu to its indigenous people.
Magni was also able to read the Calculations which allowed him to see potential futures and commune with his descendants, guiding them toward the path that would lead ultimately lead to foiling Shakuru and Pah's grand plan.
Biography[]
During the human uprising, and the subsequent Human-Isu War, Magni was counted among those who avoided the battle in order to find a means of preventing the destruction of both races. Magni was also a human sympathiser.
At some point, the Isu Shakuru and her assistant Pah came up with another solution to preserve life which involved stasis and requested Magni's help in designing a structure that could house the survivors. Magni aided in the effort to design the stasis pods as well as the underground structure known as the Conservatory.
Magni gained access to an Eye and used it to access the calculations in order to see if the Conservatory successfully preserved humans and Isu. While doing this Magni discovered of Shakuru and Pah's true plans, to store only members of the Isu in stasis and once the Great Catasrophe had passed, then would they awaken from stasis with Pah's aid and reclaim the world. Enraged by the deception, Magni continued to look in other potential futures to see if their plan was possible to be foiled.
The Isu witnessed a potential future where one of Pah's reincarnations was granted premature access to the Conservatory and he was able to free Shakuru and the other Isu in stasis. Because of humanity's primitive technological capacity during this time, Shakuru and the others were able to reclaim their rulership over humanity. Magni then witnessed another future where Pah's reincarnation was withheld from accessing the Conservatory's Stasis Chamber and their plan was delayed until a point where humanity had advanced enough technologically that they would be able to combat against the surviving Isu when they were re-awakened.
Following this path, Magni tampered with the console that would grant access to the Stasis Chamber keying it to his and his bloodline's DNA only to prevent Pah from accessing it, in an attempt to delay their plan for as long as possible. Magni would then return to the Eye and commune with one of his descendants within the Nexus in the 11th century, warning him of one of Pah's reincarnations and the consequences if he were able to access the Conservatory.
Magni would then later communicate with the Cree warrior Mahikan in the 17th century, influencing him into guiding Magni's other descendant into playing his part in the contribution to stopping Shakuru and Pah's plans. Magni then spoke to another descendant in the 21st century, the Assassin Horatio Pierce and the Templar Leah Chavez through his 17th century descendant Küpeyakwüskonam and the Assassin Ramona Lucia, whom Pierce and Chavez would eventually relive the memories of respectively, advising them to put their differences aside for the greater good.
Following these events, Magni mated with a human and sired a hybrid child with them, ensuring the future would come to pass.
Magni's bloodline flourished throughout history, leading to the birth of the Viking Hidden One Ari Einarrson making Magni an ancestor of the Néhinaw warrior Küpeyakwüskonam and the 21st century Assassin Horatio Pierce through the maternal line.
