Ramona Lucia (born 1674 - 1745) was a France-born Spaniard and a Master Assassin of the French Brotherhood of Assassins. Ramona travelled to New France alongside her mentor Louis Chaput during the Iroquois Wars. Ramona would encounter the Néhinaw warrior Küpeyakwüskonam and receive aid from him in her pursuit of the Templars located in New France.
Ramona is an ancestor of the 21st century Assassins Gina and Roberto Garcia.
In 2022, her genetic memories were relived by the Templar Leah Chavez.
Biography[]
Early life[]
Prior to her birth Ramona's parents, two Spaniards, migrated to Carcassonne, France two years before her birth with the opportunity to have a better life as a painter Ramona was later born in Carassonne that same year, despite her Spanish heritage and name, she grew up to view herself as French as a result of her surroundings and upbringing.
Unfortunately, in 1677, a few years after the Spanish had joined against the French in the Franco-Dutch War - Ramona and her family were discovered and outed as Spaniards and actively shunned, resulting in Ramona's father to become blacklisted in Carcassonne. The family were essentially exiled and were forced to leave the forted city as her father was unable to find work.
Ramona and her parents moved to Grigny where they lived in a small shack, in poverty, forced to find other ways to survive. Ramona learned to pickpocket and freerun, using her skills to either steal coin or food to help provide for her family. Unfortunately, her parents eventually passed from poor living conditions leaving Ramona alone and having to fend for herself.
Becoming an Assassin[]
In 1687, Ramona would go on to unknowingly pickpocket the Assassin Louis Chaput. After noticing his pouch had been stolen, he gave chase before cornering Ramona on a rooftop between two buildings with too large a gap for her to jump. Defeated, she returned the pouch and resigned to her fate of execution or prison, however, Louis was instead impressed with her skills and not wanting her to waste her potential begging and stealing for scraps, he offered to take her with him. Having the look of an upper class man, Ramona accepted, believing that she would have access to better care.
While this was the case, she would also be trained as an Assassin before being formally inducted into the Brotherhood in 1692.
Hunting the Eden Engine[]
In early 1693, Ramona and Louis are assigned to locate a Piece of Eden in North America that the Templars were seeking. In the summer of that same year, shortly before arriving in the continent, Ramona was perched on top of the ship as she overlooked the colony of New France come into view.
She was then called down by Louis, after scaling her way down to ground leve, she expresses her excitement to finally see the New World. However, Louis reminds her that they are there for a reason and she must remain focused on the assignment at hand. Ramona heeds her mentor's words and apologises, admitting that finding the Piece of Eden was more important.
In winter of 1693 in Southern Ontario, Canada, New France, Ramona is stalking a target through a colony. Realising he is being followed, the Templar flees forcing Ramona to give chase. Catching up to him, the two round a corner and head into an alley where she eventually manages to assassinate him. Moments away from death, Ramona demands information on the Templar Grand Master Guillaume Couture, what he was looking for in New France and how to locate him. The Templar reveals that Couture was in New France, searching for a powerful Precursor artifact that could alter the balance of the world. Sarcastically, Ramona responds that every Precursor artifact has the potential to 'change the world'. Demanding more details, the Templar dies.
Ramona meets up with Louis at a tavern where they relay information they had gathered in their time apart. Informing him of what she learned, Louis notifies her that he managed to learn of another Templar, Canaqueese, a Mohawk-Dutch war chief and intercultural mediator who was linked to the hunt for the Piece of Eden. Explaining that the war chief has been heavily involved in the current war between the indigenous tribes but wasn't sure as to why, however he was certain it linked to the Piece of Eden.
Working with Küpeyakwüskonam[]
A few months later in early 1694, having found a lead on Canaqueese's comings and goings, Louis and Ramona make their way to a French military camp to learn more of Canaqueese whereabouts. However, upon arriving they find that the camp has been massacred. The two begin investigating, speculating that it was attack from the Iroquois before learning the massacre was orchestrated by a single individual. Surprised and frustrated, the two wonder what to do next now that they were at a dead end. Louis is then pounced on from above, before being pinned into the snow by the indigenous warrior Küpeyakwüskonam.
With a blade to his throat, Ramona immediately pulls her flintlock on the warrior threatening to shoot. Louis manages to deesculate the situation, remarking on how he is impressed with Küpeyakwüskonam being able to get the drop on him. Louis, however, manages to slip through Küpeyakwüskonam's grasp and the trio enter a standoff. Küpeyakwüskonam questions why they are in search of the War Chief and what business they have with the French. Surprised at his ability to speak French, Louis introduces Ramona and himself and asks if he was the one who killed all the soldiers in the camp which Küpeyakwüskonam confirms. Louis then asks what it is that Küpeyakwüskonam wants with Canaqueese with the warrior outright confirming his aim to kill him, much to Ramona's disapproval, Louis then reveals his goal to Küpeyakwüskonam. The Assassin proposes that the three work together to accomplish their common goal, with Ramona hastily brandishing her hidden blade and offering to kill him instead.
A few days after the encounter between Küpeyakwüskonam and the Assassins. The tension between the three were critically high, Louis requested to learn Küpeyakwüskonam's name which he refused to give. Meanwhile, Ramona herself was mistrustful of Küpeyakwüskonam, unsure of whether he was a member of the Iroquois that fought against the French and other tribes. The two would bicker or outright insult each other during most of this time, leaving Louis to have to play mediator.
While on horseback on their way to the Lake Ontario area, Küpeyakwüskonam recollects the hidden blade Ramona brandished. Cursious, he directly asks her what the weapon was and how she was able to conceal it under her wrist. Ramona is coy with information, criticising the fact that Küpeyakwüskonam feels fine with asking her the complexities of her weapon but refuses to give up any information about his self. Louis reprimands Ramona, stating that they are the outsiders in his land, he owes them nothing and that it is his trust that they need to earn. Louis then goes on to reveal the mechanics and complexities of the hidden blade to Küpeyakwüskonam. Impressed, Küpeyakwüskonam compliments the two Assassins on their advanced technology.
Coming upon a small town in the countryside, the trio separate to search for leads on whether Chief Canaqueese passed through the area, or where he was headed. Louis suggests Küpeyakwüskonam head to a tavern alongside Ramona, meanwhile Louis himself will ask around town. Initially, Küpeyakwüskonam refuses to take directions from the older Assassin, however Ramona informs him that its the best place to gather information. Reluctantly, Küpeyakwüskonam agrees to go to the tavern with Ramona. He is visibly uncomfortable being in a European settlement for the first time, mesmerised and confused by its architecture. Ramona asks what's wrong but Küpeyakwüskonam refuses to disclose his feelings, much to her annoyance.
The two enter the tavern and begin asking around, however Küpeyakwüskonam is met with resistance due to his indigenous heritage and the mistrust from both parties. Ramona questions the bartender, asking if she'd seen a native man accompanied by French soldiers. The bartender confirms this, revealing that Canaqueese holed up at the inn for the night and then headed east that morning. Meanwhile, Küpeyakwüskonam overhears French soldiers discussing a recent raid on a Seneca village, reminding him of their careless attack on his own home. Küpeyakwüskonam immediately confronted the men, leading to a bar brawl between Küpeyakwüskonam and the French soldiers, with Ramona begrudgingly getting involved.
Küpeyakwüskonam and Ramona are promptly kicked out of the tavern, and the two engage in an argument of their own because of his recklessness. Louis reunites with the two, forcing them to stop and heed what information Louis had come back with. Ramona reveals that Canaqueese was headed east, lining up with the information Louis found. The three then made their way east on horseback.
Death of Louis Chaput[]
As they travelled further east, they saw a smoke trail in the distance and quickly made their way toward it. They discovered that the raid on the village had already begun, compelled by his empathy Küpeyakwüskonam split away from the others and tried to help the villagers in need. Meanwhile, Ramona and Louis took down the French soldiers and locate Canaqueese amidst the chaos. However, the two encounter another Templar, a French commander by the name of Stéphane D’aureville. Noticing his Templar brand, Ramona and Louis give chase.
Ramona and Louis chase D'aureville into a burning lodgehouse. However, the Templar commander is able to escape when Louis saves Ramona from being crushed from a collapsing ceiling, pushing her out of the way and being trapped instead. Ramona tries to free him but to no avail, Louis tells her that she needs to go on and continue the mission before removing one of his hidden blades and giving it to Ramona, commanding her to gift it to Küpeyakwüskonam. Louis believes that she will need his help, that he will keep her alive. Emotionally, Ramona expresses her reluctance to leave and shows her devastation at her mentor's death. However, Louis forces her to leave before the lodgehouse collapses on both of them, reminding her to not let his death be in vain.
In the aftermath of the attack and a few hours after the French retreated following the death of Chief Canaqueese. Küpeyakwüskonam remains behind to help find any surviving villagers, he spots Ramona sitting under a tree alone, holding Louis' bracer. Wandering over to her, he asks where Louis but is met with silence, knowing the context Küpeyakwüskonam apologises for her loss. Ramona comments that, despite how cold Küpeyakwüskonam was toward Louis, he still wanted her to give him his hidden blade and expresses her hesitance to even give it to him.
Unbothered, Küpeyakwüskonam reveals that he killed Canaqueese, and that he mentioned the Templars, asking if she knew what that meant. Ramona claims it was a long story, one he didn't need to hear. Küpeyakwüskonam also informs her of the 'Eden Engine', that they attacked the village looking for it and mentions the name D'aureville. Perking up at the name, she puts two and two together surmising that the Templar they encountered must have been D'aureville. Invigorated by a new lead, and a chance to honor Louis' sacrifice, she prepared to begin her search for D'aureville.
Before she leaves however, Küpeyakwüskonam stops Ramona saying he wants to come with her. When she asks why, he mentions the Templars once again, recollecting how Canaqueese described them, they seemed like an even larger looming threat against his people and home. Ramona confirms this which leads Küpeyakwüskonam to deduce that she and Louis fought against them, and if they did, helping her would contribute to stopping their expansion. Ramona deliberates for a moment, before presenting Louis' hidden blade as a way of agreeing to work with him. Küpeyakwüskonam accepts it as a token of their new partnership. Küpeyakwüskonam finally gives her his name with Ramona opting to shorten it, stating his full name was too complicated to pronounce.
A fresh start[]
In late 1694, Ramona and Küpeyakwüskonam are somewhere in the wilderness on a cliff top with a thick pile of leaves at the bottom. The relationship between the two has become less hostile as Küpeyakwüskonam expresses apprehension at jumping off the cliff into the leaf pile. It is revealed that Ramona is teaching him the Leap of Faith. Through narration Küpeyakwüskonam reveals that Ramona had told him the nature of the Assassins and Templars, their history, ideology, structure, as well as the Precursors and their technology, further reinforcing his desire to remove the Templars from his land.
Ramona reveals the importance and value of the Leap of Faith, and how its useful if he is ever in need of a quick getaway. As warriors, they both know they need to overcome their fear in every fight, this is no different. She demonstrates the Leap of Faith for him, landing in the leaf pile before instructing Küpeyakwüskonam to take the plunge. After a few moments of anticipation, Küpeyakwüskonam finds his nerve and makes a running leap and lands in the leaf pile before emerging in total surprise of his survival.
Küpeyakwüskonam comments at how over the months he has noticed that Ramona has covertly been teaching him skills utilised by the Assassins. He admits that he respects their goal of freewill, however, he does not want to join the Brotherhood as his duty to his people will triumph over the Assassin mission. Going on to thank her for the additional skills however, Ramona acknowledges and respects his choice.
A few hours later, the two are perched within the treetops as it is revealed the reason they were in the frontiers. They discovered that where they were, was a route that French soldiers patrolled through on occasion. The Assassin and warrior planned to retrieve information on the soldier named D'aureville. Once the next patrol travelled through, the two ambush the soldiers, killing all but one. With the remaining one left alive, Ramona interrogates him asking for information on D'aureville. The soldier gives up the information, revealing D'aureville's full name and rank as General Stéphane D’aureville. The Assassin inquires further about D'aureville's whereabouts but the soldier is unaware of where the Colonel is being stationed at.
Küpeyakwüskonam then kills the soldier with his hidden blade much to Ramona's disapproval. He argues that if they were to let him leave, he was certain to tell his superiors of what had transpired, giving D'aureville the warning that they were coming for him. Still frustrated at his actions, the two go on their way to look for more information on General D'aureville.
In spring 1695, Küpeyakwüskonam and Ramona infiltrate a French fort and sneak their way into the general's quarters, hoping to find evidence of correspondence between the two generals. Ramona learns that the general is also a Templar and that evidence of a Precursor site had been located, fitting the description of the Eden Engine's resting place. D'aureville's official cover was to find and ally with other indigenous tribes, Küpeyakwüskonam takes note of one of the tribes D'aureville is set to visit - being his own band located in the Algoma District. Assassinating the Templar, Küpeyakwüskonam rushes off and makes his way back to his village on horseback, worrying for their safety. Ramona quickly follows suit.
Encountering the Eden Engine[]
A few days later, the pair arrive at Küpeyakwüskonam's village. Seeing that his village remains safe fills him with a sense of relief, the other villagers are happy to see him and greet him with open arms but express distrust of Ramona. Küpeyakwüskonam assures them that Ramona is to be trusted and show her respect, Küpeyakwüskonam's father Mahikan arrives and greets his son, happy to see he is alive and safe. Küpeyakwüskonam updates Mahikan on his progress before going to find Sâkowêw, his childhood friend and crush.
Küpeyakwüskonam returns not long after, informing Mahikan of the impending attack by the French.
Mahikan acknowledges this, and with the help of Ramona they begin preparations to defend the village. Küpeyakwüskonam and Ramona come up with a plan for Mahikan to attempt to stall the French with negotiations, while they tried to reach higher ground and assassinate him.
A day later, General D'aureville arrives with his small band of soldiers in tow. Mahikan meets with D'aureville, placing him into position to be assassinated but Küpeyakwüskonam and Ramona are spotted in the trees by one of the soldiers and Ramona's attempt to assassinate D'aureville fails. D'aureville orders his men to begin the attack before brandishing an Eden Engine, Ramona quickly deduces that there must be more than one Eden Engine if D'aureville already has one and is searching for another. Reacting quickly Küpeyakwüskonam shoots an arrow at D'aureville's hand, knocking the Eden Engine from his arm. Releasing a small discharge, the Eden Engine wipes out a quarter of Küpeyakwüskonam's village, killing many warriors and French soldiers alike. However, D'aureville awakens and flees with the others before Küpeyakwüskonam and Ramona could give chase.
Küpeyakwüskonam finds the body of Mahikan amidst those that were killed by the Eden Engine's small explosion, cradling his body. Over the next few days, Küpeyakwüskonam's village holds two ceremonies, the Wake and Round Dance to comemmorate those who lost their lives in Néhinaw tradition. Following that, Ramona consoles Küpeyakwüskonam followed by the arrival of Macquettoquet and Sâkowêw who express their condolences. Küpeyakwüskonam is visibly distant but tries to hide his feelings as the two are completely unaware of his feelings for Sâkowêw.
After they leave, Ramona comments on his body language and questions if Küpeyakwüskonam has feelings for Sâkowêw. Evading the answer, Küpeyakwüskonam reminds her that they have Templars to hunt - commenting on his failure to protect his village, he can at least avenge them. Assuring him, Ramona tells him that if even one person remains standing, they can rebuild.
Battle of Hudson's Bay[]
Over the next 2 years Ramona and Küpeyakwüskonam continued hunting for the Eden Engines and assassinated the Templars across New France as well. The pair eventually learn Templar Jean Outelas' involvement in the upcoming battle at Hudson's Bay, as well as his involvement in D'aureville's search for the Eden Engines. Ramona hires a privateer vessel to take part in the battle, a brig named the Victoire du Faucon to sail them into the battle.
On 5 September 1697, Ramona and Küpeyakwüskonam are caught in the midst of the battle. During the battle, the helmsman of the Victoire du Faucon is killed and Küpeyakwüskonam is forced to temporarily pilot, through the guidance of the captain.
Küpeyakwüskonam navigates the Victoire through the battle, attacking Outelas' supply ship the L'Esquimau, and destroying their mast with a chain shot. Climbing atop the Victoire's mast, Ramona prepares to board the L'Esquimau shortly before Küpeyakwüskonam rams into it. Upon doing so, Ramona leaps across and on to the L'Esquimau's damaged mast and locates Outelas on the deck below. Meanwhile Küpeyakwüskonam and the privateers also board and cause enough chaos to provide Ramona the opportunity to kill Outelas.
Ramona manages to scale her way down to a low enough level where she can assassinate Outelas from above. Following this she asks what the Templar's stake in the War of the Grand Alliance was, Outelas explains that the Templars aimed to expand their influence from the devastation of the war, however, the Assassins were hard at work opposing them. Following this, Ramona then questions D'aureville's whereabouts to which Outelas confesses that D'aureville is said to arrive in Québec to meet with Grand Master Guillaume Couture to discuss a lead on the second Eden Engine within a week's time.
Following this, the English navy begin open firing on the L'Esquimau and the crew of the Victoire are forced to escape. In the midst of their escape, Küpeyakwüskonam is caught in the bombardment of the L'Esquimau and injured. He is then rescued by Ramona and they narrowly make their way back to the Victoire and make their escape to open sea shortly before the French defeat the English.
Finding the second Eden Engine[]
Some days after the Battle of Hudson's Bay, Ramona tends to Küpeyakwüskonam during his recovery from the injuries he sustained on the L'Esquimau. Ramona informs him that the injuries he sustained were minor and that he only suffered a small concussion. Küpeyakwüskonam thanks her and, in a moment of vulnerability, he confesses to having been glad that she was by his side. The two share a brief moment and almost kiss but stop when they hear that the Victoire is about to dock in Québec.
Following that, Ramona and Küpeyakwüskonam learn of the location of the intended meeting and time through eavesdropping and following various guards in Québec. The pair head to the location and tail both D'aureville and Couture through the streets of Québec. Listening in on the conversation between the two Templars, Küpeyakwüskonam and Ramona learn that the second Eden Engine may potentially be located in an Isu temple near a Huron village somewhere in the west of Ontario.
Küpeyakwüskonam moves to kill them but is stopped by Ramona, he expresses confusion that now would be the perfect opportunity to kill them both. Ramona states that killing the both of them won't stop the Templars' search for the Eden Engines, locating them and removing them from Templar hands is the main priority right now. Küpeyakwüskonam argues back, stating that his main goal is to eliminate the Templar presence and keep the settlers away from his tribe. Finally, Ramona settles the argument by reminding him that he's seen a small power of what a single Eden Engine can do, and what it did to his village, they needed to stop the Templars from acquiring all three.
Begrudgingly Küpeyakwüskonam agrees and the two begin to make their way to the Huron village mentioned by D'aureville and Couture.
Ramona and Küpeyakwüskonam locate the Huron village near a coastline in what would come to be known as Windsor. Upon arriving they are met with hostility by the Huron people, Küpeyakwüskonam attempts to communicate peace in his native tongue, however the Huron are unable to understand the Cree language. Before things could get worse however, a village elder orders the warriors to cease hostility and begins communicating with Küpeyakwüskonam in Cree, mentioning he is a "long way from home". Küpeyakwüskonam apologises for intruding and explains that he is searching for a "temple built by the spirits" as it is said to be located nearby.
The village elder reveals that their village is sworn to protect it, and asks how he knew about it and what he wants with it. Küpeyakwüskonam confesses that he wants to recover it and keep it from the hands of the French who wish to misuse it. In disbelief, the village elder mentions that the French aided them in their war with the Iroquois. Ramona then steps in and blurts that it was all a ruse, the entire conflict was a cover to find the artifacts mentioned. Understanding French, the village elder is surprised that she would speak out against her people.
After some deliberation, the other village elders convene and discuss their next steps. Eventually, they decide that Küpeyakwüskonam and Ramona are trustworthy, agreeing to show them the location of the Isu temple. Upon arriving however, the pair are unable to access it without any specific Pieces of Eden to open the entrance, the village elder then proceeds to unveil an Apple of Eden, using it to unlock the temple.
The village elder wishes them luck and Küpeyakwüskonam thanks him in return before he and Ramona enter the temple. Navigating the temple, the two come upon a central chamber where the Eden Engine lies. Ramona warns to tread carefully as they do not know how the Eden Engine will react to them. Heeding her warning, Küpeyakwüskonam cautiously approaches the Engine and reaches out for it.
Upon touching the device, the Eden Engine reacts to Küpeyakwüskonam's high count of Isu DNA and transports them into the Nexus. There, they are met by Magni who Küpeyakwüskonam immediately deduces as the 'Creator God' that spoke to his father prior to his birth, Magni confirms this. Küpeyakwüskonam asks if his hunt for the Eden Engines were his 'great destiny' and Magni also confirms this. Ramona asks what it is Magni wants, he begins to explain that they must acquire all of the Eden Engines and hide them away. Magni then addressed two presentless receipients, Horatio and Leah, urging them to put aside their 'differences' and see the bigger picture - that Shakuru and Pah needed to be stopped at all costs, or else they will wipe out humanity.
Küpeyakwüskonam and Ramona express confusion at who else Magni is talking to, as there is no one else present. However, Magni neglects to divulge further information and the pair are regain consciousness back in the temple, some hours had passed. Upon waking up, the two immediately grab the Eden Engine and make their way back to the temple entrance.
The pair are immediately attacked by D'aureville carrying a Sword of Eden, shooting Küpeyakwüskonam with an energy blast from the Isu weapon. Ramona shoots her revolver at D'aureville but the Templar Sage instantly translocates behind Ramona. She reacts quickly and evades a fatal attack from D'aureville, before engaging him with her rapier. During their duel, Küpeyakwüskonam struggles to get back to his feet but draws his bow and shoots an arrow at D'aureville. Striking his shoulder, D'aureville translocates to Küpeyakwüskonam and strikes at his chest with the Sword of Eden, intending for him to suffer and bleed out.
Ramona attempts to charge D'aureville but she is knocked back by another energy blast from D'aureville's Sword of Eden and is knocked out. D'aureville then retrieves the second Eden Engine and uses their combined power, triggers a small earthquake and in-turn a small tsunami that follows. Fighting against his injuries, Küpeyakwüskonam gets up to his feet and wakes up Ramona, the two fled the during the earthquake and narrowly escaped before the tsunami hit. However, Küpeyakwüskonam felt immense regret at being unable to help the Huron village that was sure to be caught up in the tsunami.
Now safe, Küpeyakwüskonam's adrenaline wears off and his injuries begin to settle in which cause him to pass out.
Final confrontation against D'aureville[]
Locating the third Eden Engine[]
Another 2 years later in December, Ramona is split up from Küpeyakwüskonam as she listens in around the city they are currently at for information on D'aureville. She meets up with Küpeyakwüskonam later on and learns from him that D'aureville was set to journey to Pachena Bay under the guise of allying with the Huu-ay-aht tribe.
They know that this was a ruse and that D'aureville had likely discovered the location of the final Eden Engine. Ramona then proposes that they inquire more information such as learning the specific coordinates of the Eden Engine. A day or so later, the pair locate a Templar agent and prior to assassinating him, they learn of the Eden Engine's coordinates inside an Isu temple located deep beneath Pachena Bay.
They begin preparations to make the journey from Québec to Vancouver by horseback. Arriving in Pachena Bay on 26 Januray 1700, Küpeyakwüskonam and Ramona locate a cave entrance just outside the Huu-ay-aht village, which on the coordinates is said to be the location of the temple housing the Eden Engine. Travelling inside it, the pair traverse their way toward the temple, discovering that the cave that led to the temple was an underwater network. Finally entering the temple's interior, Küpeyakwüskonam and Ramona suddenly felt their surroundings begin to rumble.
Ramona and Küpeyakwüskonam begin to rush their way through the temple, worried at the capabilities of D'aureville with all three Eden Engines. Reaching the centre of the temple, the pair discover D'aureville in the process of merging the three Eden Engines.
They see that D'aureville is in some trance like state as he is in the process of holding the three Eden Engines together during their merging process. The pair cease this opportunity to assassinate the Templar general, however, it appears as if the Eden Engines have currently granted D'aureville with some supernatural abilities, eyes glowing golden D'aureville senses the two and immediately attacks them with energy from the Eden Engines.
D'aureville proclaims that he will not be stopped and that he will use the power of the Eden Engines to reunite with his loved one, ignoring his ramblings Küpeyakwüskonam and Ramona devise a plan with the Assassin keeping D'aureville distracted while the Cree warrior separates the Eden Engines. Enacting their plan, Ramona evades D'aureville's energy based attacks while Küpeyakwüskonam sneaks around to get to the Eden Engines. Upon reaching the Eden Engines, Küpeyakwüskonam begins to forcibly separate the three Pieces of Eden.
Küpeyakwüskonam successfully separates the Eden Engines which cause a discharge of energy which makes the Isu temple lose its structure and begin to collapse, as well as removing D'aureville's temporary gain in power.
Cascadia earthquake[]
Recovering their bearings, Ramona, Küpeyakwüskonam, and D'aureville flee the temple as its collapsing around them. Before beginning his escape however, Küpeyakwüskonam brings the three Eden Engines with him. The trio manage to successfully escape the temple and the cave that leads inside it as the entire cave becomes closed off as a result of the temple's destruction. D'aureville unsheathes his Sword of Eden and attacks the pair once more, claiming that even if they kill him, it won't stop him. Confused at what he is talking about, the warrior and Assassin continue to ignore him, fighting him back.
Their fight with D'aureville draws the attention of the Huu-ay-aht people who's village is close by. During their fight, D'aureville manages to land a strike on Küpeyakwüskonam which inadvertanly ripples into one of the Eden Engine's he is carrying, forcing it to send off a seismic blast. The surrounding seismic blast begins to cause an earthquake which reaches all the way out into the Cascadia subduction zone. In the chaos of the earthquake, Ramona manages to successfully assassinate D'aureville who before dying reminds them that they still have not stopped him. Despite D'aureville's death, the earthquake continues but Küpeyakwüskonam is able to put a stop to it through the use of an Eden Engine.
Following the earthquake, the pair notice a tsunami beginning to approach the beach. Upon seeing it, the Huu-ay-aht begin to desperately flee with Küpeyakwüskonam and Ramona doing the same as they make their way to their horses. Climbing atop their horses, the pair flee into the forest in front of the bay. The horses sprint at their top speed but are unable to outrun the tsunami which force Küpeyakwüskonam and Ramona to leap off of their horses and make their way to higher ground by freerunning to the top of a large tree. The pair wait it out as the tsunami devastates the area, watching in horror as it wipes out the Huu-ay-aht villagers.
Departing New France[]
With her mission to keep the Eden Engines out of Templar hands complete, Ramona had no reason to remain in New France and thus prepared to return to France and resume her duties for the Brotherhood. A month after the earthquake, Ramona finds Küpeyakwüskonam in a tavern and informs him her ship is about to depart. Accompanying her to the port, he asks her to reconsider staying but Ramona refutes this stating that she has a duty to the Brotherhood, that she had achieved her and Louis' goal in New France of keeping the Eden Engines from Templar hands. Ramona then expresses her thanks for Küpeyakwüskonam's aid and sticking by her through all these years, being there for her when she needed him the most.
The two stare longingly in each other's eyes for a brief moment before Ramona switches topics, informing him that the New France Rite has been mostly eradicated thanks to their efforts, minus Grand Master Couture. Küpeyakwüskonam assures her that Couture will die by his hand, effectively purging New France of the Templars. Before she leaves, Küpeyakwüskonam offers Ramona back the hidden blade she'd gifted him six years prior but she simply tells him to keep it, as a reminder of her to which he assures her he'll never forget her.
Ramona then begins to board the ship before stopping, she quickly runs back and kisses Küpeyakwüskonam who reciprocates before properly boarding the ship as it departs. Küpeyakwüskonam watches as Ramona and the ship disappear into the distance.
Later life and death[]
Ramona returned to France a few months later with two Eden Engines, reporting on her success to the Brotherhood's mentor. She hides one of the Engines by burying it in Champ de Mars and hands the other over to the Brotherhood for them to hide away. They do this by shipping it to the West-Indies Brotherhood.
A year later, Ramona learned of Küpeyakwüskonam's success in assassinating the New France Grand Master Guillaume Couture, eradicating all Templar influence in the colony. She is pleased to know that her work continues to pay off.
Ramona continued to serve the Brotherhood until her death, at some point achieving the rank of Master Assassin.
She eventually married another Assassin and gave birth to a child. In 1740, during the twilight years of her life, Ramona pondered over her time in New France at her home. She reminisced on her ill-fated romance with Küpeyakwüskonam, wondering where he was, how he was, and if he managed to settle down too. Ramona, internally, admits that she loved her husband deeply but she will always also have love for Küpeyakwüskonam, wondering what a life with him would have been like.
