Lore[]
Early Life[]
Born on June 30th 1539 in the streets of an unknown city's name in Kyoto. His unknown parents died due to an unknown illness when he was 4, he quickly grew up and learned how to survive in the streets. By the time he was 9, he tried to snatch a coin purse from a man, but the man quickly caught up to him. The man's name was Haruto Tanaka, the Lord of Kyoto. He saw fear, anger, and sadness in Sato's face and didn't punish the child but adopted him.
Haruto wasn't a normal Lord, he was a Master Assassin to the Japan Brotherhood of Assassins but kept this a secret from Sato. Sato was taught how to use a sword shortly after his adoption as Haruto saw potential in Sato in becoming an Assassin. Sato would also develop a crush on a Geisha's daughter, Hinata.
Death of Sato's Father[]
In 1554, when Sato turned 15, his Master and Father Figure Haruto had been killed in his own home. Sato didn't know who did it at that time. But after Haruto's funeral members of the Japan Brotherhood came to honor their comrade. But also to recruit Sato in joining the Brotherhood. They told Sato that his father was killed by members of the Templar Order, and stole a Key that Haruto kept secret from Templars that opens a secret vault that the Order had been searching for decades that had been rumored to carry a piece of Eden. Fueled with Vengeance he accepted and soon started his Assassin Training.
Life in the Brotherhood[]
Sato was trained and taught on how to live and survive as a member of the Assassin Order. He learned how to fight with his hands and weapons, how to get around with Parkour, and how to get information by torturing. Sato had only one goal in mind, to avenge his father. He became a prodigy when it came to being an Assassin, he killed his first target when he was 17. But thanks to letters founded by multiple Assassins in the future. Sato had been writing love letters to Hinata during his training in secret.
War with the Templars[]
In 1560, Templar Leader Oda Nobunaga had gathered an army and started his campaign to control and take all of Japan, so it can be ruled under Templar Order. During this time, Sato had been 21 and already been promoted to Rank Six. It was up to Sato and the Japan Brotherhood to overthrow Oda and his Templar Soldiers.
During this time Sato had been involved in battles against the Templar Order such as the Battle of Okehazama but failed for his first and only time. Sato had been involved in sneaking into Oda's compounds freeing captured villagers, killing his soldiers, finding more people to join the Order, and helping Family Clans that sided with the Assassins like the Asakura, Ashikaga, and Azai Families.
But also to Sato, he had been tracking and interrogating Oda's high ranking soldiers to find the men that killed his father which has been argued that had clouded Sato's goals as an Assassin. During this time Sato had started a friendship with a Ronin camp called the Straw Hat Ronin and influenced them in helping to overthrow the Templars.
Sato would be involved in more battles like the Siege of Nagashima, during that time Sato and met and befriended Assassin loyalist Takeda Shingen who helped the Assassins to siege Iwamura Castle, to gain more land and followers. And was even present during the marriage between Lady Otsuya and Akiyama Nobutomo.
After years of war, the big final battle, the Battle of Nagashino happened in 1575, Sato hoped he could kill Oda to stop it all. But their plot failed, as the Straw Hat Ronin had betrayed the Assassins after being paid by Oda. Oda lead his troops of 30,000 men to attack the Assassin compound, Nagashino Castle. The aftermath had slayed the entire Takeda Clan, who were the biggest Japanese Assassin Family at the time, and almost killed the entire Japanese Brotherhood.
Then on 1582 after his ally, Akechi Mitsuhide gave Sato information on Oda's whereabouts, they would find him in a temple in Kyoto called Honnō-ji along with other Assassins to help, but it has been stated by multiple Assassin reports that it was Sato who used Oda's own sword to kill Oda by stabbing him in the stomach in making it like he commited Seppuku and later killed his son, Nobutada after trying to kill Mitsuhide with his hidden blade. Then they burned down the Temple as a symbol of the end of Oda's reign.
After The War[]
After the 22 year long war, Sato would propose to Hinata and she would accept his hand in marriage in 1582 and would shortly after get married. Sato would impregnate Hinata 3 times giving her 3 children, 2 boys and a girl, Shiro, Toma, and Hayakawa Tanaka. According to the reports, around this time due to his loyalty and assassinating Oda, Sato was promoted to Master Assassin when he was 43 and would help shape the Japan Brotherhood for the next twenty years after their major losses.
Sato would even train his children in hopes of them becoming Assassins, but he wouldn't see them progress any further than their mid-late teens.
Death[]
On May 11th 1601, Sato Tanaka would die in his sleep at the age of 62. Rumors and theories have stumped the Japan Brotherhood either saying it was natural causes or it was an Assassination from the Templars, but no reports have been claimed.
Next Generation[]
All three of Sato's children would become honorary members of the Japan Order, all three would be called the Oni Trio due to their stealth and deadly skills the people of Japan would mistaken them as Japanese Oni Demons. They would all get married and have kids furthering the line of the Tanaka Family and will reach it's final stage with Shaun Murdoch, a Modern Day Assassin who has ties in multiple Brotherhood's including Sato in Feudal Japan.
