Soris of Yamu

Soris of Yamu, later known as Makarios of Gaza was the first Mentor of the Hidden Ones of Judea. Soris worked directly against the Order of the Ancients and in 6 BC he and Judas the Galilean agreed to collaborate against the Romans (supporters of the Order of the Ancients), a year later in 5 BC Soris when he goes to kill Publius Quintilius Varus discovers from he that Judas is a member of a strange organization that Soris immediately recognizes as the Order of the Ancients and offers to eliminate him and collaborate with the Romans to restore peace to Judea. Having killed Judas during his second revolt, the Zealots split into two groups, those who remain faithful to Judas and who want to continue the armed struggle against Rome and those who understand that Judas was not who he said he was and therefore join Soris and the Hidden Ones, but the latter are only a small part of the Zealots.
