Swegn Hraefning (1042 - 1121) was an Anglo-Norse thegn in Northamptonshire serving under Eadweard the Confessor, Harold Godwineson, and the brief disputed reign of Eadgar Aetheling. He was also a descendant of the 9th century Raven Clan, an Assassin, and a founding member of the loosely-affiliated Silvatici, whose deeds formed the basis for the later legend of Robin Hood.
